Connolly Family || Medford, OR

You know those places that you drive by? They’re beautiful, they’re vast, they only show up during a specific season of the year and they are just begging to be delighted in. At least, I feel like they are begging me. That was this beautiful field of wild mustard. A few weeks ago as I was driving home from Volleyball, I noticed this vast field during golden hour. With the Southern Oregon mountains in the back, and all the yellow. I knew immediately that I wanted to shoot here. Funny enough, the day we shot it turned into a windy / cloudy day. The entire week it was sunny except for this day and still I think I love the way these photos turned out better than I had imagined.

I am so happy that it was the Connolly family that I captured out in this field. The last time I took photos for them was when they were announcing to their kids that they were having a boy. Which was probably about 4 years ago! Thank you Connolly family for letting me capture your family as you grow. It’s a joy to see the kids grow up. You’re a beautiful family.
