Jonathan & Rachael || Medford, OR

In honor of my friends having their baby very recently, I thought it would be a great time to share photos from their maternity session. I have know Jonathan and Rachael for a handful of years, and have taken  many photos of them over the years. The first time I ever took photos of them was during a workshop that they hosted on their property with Victoria Carlson! ( Who is one my favorite photographers out there! ) That was about 4 years ago!  They have also been great models for some of my content shoots, and last year Rachael and I hosted a few mini sessions in their beautiful Air BnB space, the Greenwood Villa. But more importantly the friends that they have become through the years.

For their Maternity Session, I presented the idea of capturing them in a normal everyday morning to remember the season of Rachael’s pregnancy. For them, it was waffles, brewed coffee, a game of backgammon and some reading. So I showed up at their house and let them do their thing. 

This is what photography is about, capturing the everyday moments that are true to each individual. Documenting the season of life you are in, that you would be able to recollect how you felt when you look back at your images. I truly love it.

Congrats on your baby girl, I am so excited for this new chapter of your life. Love you guys!
